Welcome to Central Florida! Let us transfer you from St. Pete/Tampa to your pretrip accommodation just north of Orlando. Get ready to ride the next morning. [If you do not need transfered, let us know.]

Day 1: begin your trip at the Markham trailhead and spend the day riding the suburban Seminole Wekiva Trail. The trail has been designated as one of Seminole County’s Showcase Trails because of its beauty and accommodations. It is built on the alignment of the former Orange Belt Railway and its gentle grade allows for a easy day of cycling. Look for the painted fences along trail, spend lunch at a trailside restaurant, and end the day with a quick shuttle ride to your hotel in Winter Garden.

The West Orange Trail has been showcasing Central Florida for more than two decades. It passes through the town of Winter Garden which has grown to cater to the cycling crowd.

We suggest a 30-mile route that highlights the central portions of the trail, but if you’d like to stretch your legs a bit, ambitious cyclists can easily expand their day to 40+ miles of riding.
